Who we are

Pay Lens (paylenshq.com) is a salary intelligence tool that reveals estimated salary ranges from Australian job listings. Pay Lens is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Seek, LinkedIn, or any other job board or recruitment platform.

What data we collect

We do not collect or store personal information. Specifically:

• We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or any identifying information.
• Job URLs you paste into Pay Lens are sent to our server to retrieve salary data and are not logged or stored.
• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Recent Searches

The Recent Searches feature stores job URLs and results in your browser only using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

Chrome Extension

The Pay Lens Chrome Extension detects when you visit a Seek job listing page and extracts the job ID from the page URL. That job ID is sent to paylenshq.com to retrieve salary data for the listing. No other page content, browsing history, or personal information is transmitted. Job IDs are not linked to your identity and are not stored or logged by Pay Lens.

Third-party services

We use the following infrastructure providers to operate Pay Lens:

• Netlify — hosting and edge delivery. Standard server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) may be retained by Netlify per their own privacy policy.
• Supabase — database hosting for salary data and blog content. No personal data is stored in our database.

Neither provider receives personal information from Pay Lens users beyond what is inherent in standard web server logs.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use Pay Lens in aggregate (e.g. pages visited, session duration, country). Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data including your IP address (truncated by Google before storage), browser type, and device information. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

We do not use Google Analytics to track individuals or serve personalised advertising. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us at the address below and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.
